Jamie's always happy to talk rubbish
A £10,000 grant from Sharing the Success has allowed Leeds Paper Recycling Ltd to expand its business even further for the new year, by helping to provide a new waste organising machine.
The grant from the Business Growth Fund has helped towards the creation of 43 new jobs at Jamie Todd’s organisation.
The 29 year old is the director of one of the largest recycling firms in Leeds where hundreds of tonnes of waste have passed through his plant over the festive period. His firm makes it easy to recycle, providing a service for commercial customers to deposit all their waste – paper, plastic, cans, tins, cardboard and glass in the same bin and then sorting it for them.
The new jobs have meant that Jamie’s company can now fulfil even bigger contracts with clients such as White Rose Centre, Leeds Shopping Plaza and the St Johns Centre.
Leeds Paper Recycling has grown from just two workers using a small wagon and two transit vans in 2000 to a fleet of nine trucks a total of 93 full-time workers.
Please note the Business Growth Fund is now closed.
